Ukulele: What's the Big Idea?
About
This brand new one-person show answers the deeply personal, political, and musical question:
What is the sound of a ukulele?
The story is real. The soundtrack is live. The instrument is small. A journey through harmony, dissonance, and songs from a long century of American popular music.

Artist Biography
Eddie co-leads Parlor Tricks industrial ragtime band
and writes for Ukulele Magazine. Eddie is a public advocate, a recovering communications director,
Circus Bella board president, and a writer and editor who has collaborated with astronauts, actors, artists, political prophets and pariahs, hip hop royalty, and comic book superheroes.

Ukulele Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness
The Big Idea is music and story from a lifetime of wonder and pain and promise. Told through the prism of the world's most powerful pound-for-pound musical instrument.
The ukulele and its Sweet Music dominated American popular music for decades -- about a century ago. But the ukulele remains culturally, spiritually, politically, and musically relevant to your life at this moment and mine.
